ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed
Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the all issues between
Pakistan and India can only be resolved through talks and
India is aware of that.
Talking to the media at the Chaklala Airbase before leaving
on a 4-day official visit to Germany and Britain, the prime
minister regretted the irresponsible statement of the Indian
Chief of Army Staff regarding a limited nuclear war, saying
that Pakistan rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war on
terror.
The prime minister said that the world community admits
the sacrifices of Pakistan in the war on terror but India
does not see it.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that during his visit to Germany
and Britain, besides important issues, talks to further
improve bilateral relations with these two countries would
also be held. He said that Germany is a key economic partner
of Pakistan.
In Berlin, the prime minister would meet German President
Horst Koehler, Chancellor Angela Merkel and other leaders
and discuss strengthening of bilateral relations, economic,
investment and defence sectors.
The prime minister would reach Britain on Wednesday, where
he would meet with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Foreign
Secretary David Miliband. He would discuss with them bilateral
relations and regional peace particularly the situation
in Afghanistan.—Agencies |
