KARACHI: The flour price today in the wholesale market here went boomingly up by Rs7 per kilogram, following the completion of three-day mourning of the martyrdom of the former prime minister, Benazir Bhutto. With the opening of the wholesale market today, a flour bag of 80 kg was selling at Rs1800 recording a whopping increase by Rs190 and thus the per kg price of flour has jumped up by Rs7 to reach at Rs25. Traders attributed this phenomenal rise in the flour price to the gaping breach in the demand and supply. They said that the flour supply in the market was lukewarm and the traders were forced to sell flour from their old stocks.
