Firing & rumors create panic in Badin

BADIN: Routine business and life activities resumed here on Monday after three-day mourning for assassinated PPP chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Shops and markets were reopened and vehicles started plying the roads in and around the city roads. A large number of customers thronged at shops for purchasing food items.
Sanitary staff also resumed their duties and cleansed the city roads and streets besides lifting garbage. Meanwhile, some miscreants on motorcycles tired to close the shops and due to spreading of rumors about assassination of MQM’s Dr Farooq Sattar and aerial firing by the miscreants, all the shops were closed and the roads were deserted. Heavy contingencies of Army, Rangers and police were patrolling on the roads to avoid any untoward incident.
District administration said that law enforcement agencies personnel would carry out patrolling till the full restoration of peace in the region.
