district has alleged that armed men of former
Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim has taken
over the entire district. In a letter to the
Director General, Rangers, Inspector General
of Police, Sindh and other authorities, he drew
their attention towards what he stated ‘worst
kind of operation by private militia in Tharparker,
which has taken over all the roads and police
stations in Deeplo’. “The private
militia has established check-posts on different
roads and subjecting the people to inhuman torture,”
he alleged. He further alleged that this private
militia attacked the peaceful protesters of
the PPP on December 27, 2007 in Deeplo town
and severely tortured the innocent workers Mohammad
Khan Lund, Meeyan Bajeer, Misri Langho, Irfan
Langho, Shaukat Langho. The private militia
took 20 PPP workers in maimed conditions to
the Deeplo police station and again tortured
