LARKANA: Traders of Resham Gali Larkana and
hundreds of citizens offered Absentia funeral
prayer for Benazir Bhutto and prayed for the
rest of departed soul.
On the occasion, Muhammad Ali Shaikh, President
Resham Gali Cloths and otheres demanded from
the authorities to arrest the killers immediately
and give them an exemplary punishment.
Meanwhile, PPP leaders held a Quran Khuwani
and also offered absentia funeral prayer for
the martyred Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, which
was led by Hafiz Muhammad Qasim at Jinnah Bagh
Chowk.
Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Shahid Bhutto, Anwar Bhutto,
Khair Muhammad Shaikh, Aftab Naik Muhammad Bhutto,
Ayaz Soomro, Mashooq Jatoi, Ghulam Mustafa Asran,
Khalid Iqbal Memon, Ghulam Mujadid Asran, Asghar
Shaikh, Barkat Shaikh, Gulzar Soomro (STP) and
around five thousands people were present on
the occassion. Later, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said
that 27 December was as a big tragedy. He said
that Sindhi have faced many disasters and tragedies
belonging to Bhutto family, adding that PPP
will take revenge of such incidents. On the
occasion, PPP activists chanted slogans of Shaheed
Zulfiqar Bhutto, Bhutto was alive and Bhutto
is alive.
Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi offers
condolence to Asif Zardari
Former caretaker Prime Minister and National
Peoples Party (NPP) chief Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi,
accompanied by his son Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi,
Monday visited Bhutto House here and offered
condolence to Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal
for slain PPP chairperson Ms. Benazir Bhutto.
Former Sindh Minister Dr. Ibrahim Jatoi also
accompanied them. Sardar Yar Muhammad Jamali
and Jan Muhammad Jamali from Balochistan also
offered condolence. Meanwhile, Governor Sindh
Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and Caretaker Chief Minister
Justice E Abdul Qadir Halepoto offered condolence
to Mr. Zardari on telephone.
BB’s death: All
business markets still closed
All business markets in Larkana remained closed
on fifth consecutive day on Monday to mourn
the death of PPP chairperson and twice prime
minister Benazir Bhutto in a suicide attack.
The markets remained shut in Bandar Road, Shahi
Bazaar, Raisham Gali, Lahori Mohalla, Gajannpur,
Jailas Bazaar, Baqrani Road and other areas.
The traffic also remained thin. The leaders
of political, social and religious organizations
including notables also expressed condolences
with Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
and top PPP leadership in Garhi Khuda Bux over
the death of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
The office-bearers of Dawat-e-Islami’s
Central Majlis-e-Shura also expressed condolence
with the victim family and presented a gift
of books written by Allama Maulana Mohammad
Ilyas Qadri.
The Editors of Sindh TV and newspapers also
laid floral wreaths on the mazar of Shaheed
Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Vacations extended
The Principal, Chandka Medical College (CMC)
Larkana, Professor Sikandar Ali Shaikh has announced
that the administration has extended the CMC’s
winter vacation upto January 5. The regular
classes of the College would now commence from
January 7, 2008, he said.
