ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Sherry Rehman Tuesday said the charge-sheet has been made so strong that President Pervez Musharraf cannot evade it.
Talking to media after the meeting of the draft committee of the ruling coalition, she said the impeachment motion is moving in the right direction, adding Pervez Musharraf would be given the right to defend him constitutionally. The democratic forces rallied against dictatorship, she added.
The charge sheet against Pervez Musharraf has been prepared and will be tabled next week in National Assembly, she maintained, adding coalition government has support of over two-third parliamentarians for impeachment motion.
She said Sherpao also gave vote against Musharraf and for impeachment, adding as many as 107 votes were cast in favour of impeachment; while only four votes were cast against it. Speaking on the occasion, Raza Rabbani said the draft regarding the impeachment of president would be prepared in two to three days, adding the judges restoration tops the priorities of ruling coalition. Earlier, the draft committee was held at the residence of Sherry Rehman to finalize the motion of impeachment of President Musharraf.
