SHAHDADKOT: A clash erupted between two groups
of Pakistan Peoples Party over fixing name plate
at Fareeq Chowk on Tuesday in Arzi Bhutto. In
the clash both groups freely used sticks and
bricks and as a result ten persons including,
Nahid Bhutto, Mehboob Bhutto, Tabish Bhutto,
Naveed, Ghulam Mustafa and others sustained
critical injuries. The injured were rushed to
different local hospitals.
Youth electrocuted
A youth namely, Manzoor Soomro, 25, was electrocuted
in Drib Muhalla on Tuesday, when he was repairing
an electric wire. The dead body of the deceased
was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.
GFHR demands
release of Dr. Aafia
A protest demonstration was staged by the Global
Foundation Human Rights against arrest of Dr.
Asfia Siddiqui on Tuesday.
Addressing on the occasion, the speakers including,
Munir Kalhoro, Rehana Soomro, Rukhsana Chandio,
Zubeda Chandio and others demanded of the government
to take immediate action for the release of
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, otherwise they have threatened
to accelerate their protest movement.
Five men sustain injuries in a clash
A clash erupted between activists of JSQM and
people of Kamboh community on Tuesday at Koto-Motto
Chowk Shahdadkot on a petty matter. In the clash,
sticks and bricks were freely used and as a
result five persons including, Abdul Sattar
Kamboh, Arif, Akhtar and others sustained critical
injuries.
The injured were rushed to different hospitals
of the region. Till filing of this news no case
of the incident was lodged.
