SAS holds conference

TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: A conference under the banner of ‘Sindhi Language the National Language’ was held by Sindhi Adabi Sangat on Tuesday in Tando Muhammad Khan. The General Secretary of SAS, Yousif Sindhi was the chief guest of the conference. Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Abdul Jabbar Junejo said that seven thousand languages are being spoken in the world, whereas only three thousand languages have their own script and Sindhi is one of them. All the participants including, Partaj Thakrai, Inam Thakrai, Nisar Ahmed Naz, Hatim Magsi and others demanded of the government to honour Sindhi language as National Language of Pakistan.
Man injured in clash
A clash erupted between two groups of Kolhi community on Tuesday over a matrimonial matter in Anwar Colony Tando Muhammad Khan. In the clash, bricks and sticks were freely used and as a result a man namely, Satio Kolhi sustained critical injuries. The injured was rushed to the Civil Hospital Tando Muhammad Khan, whereas a case of the incident was lodged at Tando Muhammad Khan Police Station.
Journalists demand arrest of murderers of Azeem Laghari
A protest demonstration was staged by the journalists of Tando Muhammad Khan against the killing of a journalist namely, Azeem Laghari in Dadu.
Addressing on the occasion, the leaders including, the President of Union of Journalists, Shehzad, General Secretary, Rao Ghulam Hussain, Syed AMir Jaffery, Umer Khan, Insar Khan and others demanded of the concerned authorities to take immediate action for the arrest of the murderers of Azeem Laghari, otherwise they have threatened to enlarge their protest level.
