KARACHI: The leaders of Pasban Bin Qasin town have demanded of the government to ensure provision of basic civic facilities to villages of UC 2 Bin Qasim Town including Khaskheli Goth, Ali Brohi Goth, Lalaabad, Illyas Goth and others. Addressing a protest demonstration, Pasban leaders Syed Ashraf Hussain, Naeem Shaikh and Shafiqur Rehman said that they would compel to widen their protest if their demands were not met. They said that city government was claiming of providing all civic facilities to villagers but not a single rupee was spent in these areas, as drainage system had been destroyed, gutters were overflowing, while collecting garbage staff absent. They said that villagers were facing acute water shortage, while some element were selling the portable water of the villages to factories.—RT
