grants pre-arrest bail to ex-Minister’s
brother
KARACHI:
A division bench of Sindh High Court comprising
Acting Chief Justice Azizullah M Memon and Justice
Khalid Ali Z Kazi Tuesday granted pre-arrest bail
to ex-Federal Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi’s
brother allegedly involved in murder of teenager
boy.
Ehsan Ali Jatoi’s counsel submitted Shah
Jehan Qureshi, aged 15-16 years, was killed in
firing as supporters of his PML-Q party and PPP
clashed during electioneering campaign for general
election 2008 in district Dadu. Ehsan was among
others allegedly falsely named in murder case
and feared police may arrest him.
The division bench granted applicant bail before
arrest against surety bonds of Rs 100,000, issued
notice to Sindh Home Secretary & SHO PS Dadu
and adjourned to date in office.
The same bench adjourned hearing of application
moved by sitting Nazim of Taluka Tando Allahyar
Dr. Rahila Gul Magsi who submitted through her
counsel that Executive District Officer, Deputy
District Officers of different departments were
not obeying her orders, as they changed loyalties
after Feb 18 elections.
Dr Rahila Magsi prayed to direct respondents follow
her orders. The hearing was adjourned till Aug
