MIRWAH GORCHANI: Ashura was observed with religious reverence and solemnity here on Sunday.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers were deployed in the town to avoid any untoward incident. The mourning processions started from different Imambargahs and converged at main road where Allama Syed Imran Shah Kazmi addressed. He highlighted Hazrat Imam Hussain’s sacrifices rendered in Karballa for the dignity of Islam. UC Nazim Ahsanul Haque Arain and Naib Nazim Haji Ali Mohammad Gorchani were present on the occasion.
In the mourning processions, the Zakireen and religious scholars highlighted the significance of the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, who laid down their lives for the supremacy of justice and righteousness.
The police had made elaborate security arrangements to check any sort of untoward incident during Majalis-e-Aza, `Alam’ and `Tazia’ processions.
