JI sees no free, fair polls under present setup

MIRPURKHAS: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan general secretary Syed Munawar Hassan has said that no free and fair polls are possible under the present rulers.
Addressing a training workshop for JI workers here he said before the return of Nawaz Sharif, All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) had decided to launch a movement so as to compel present rulers quitting power. He said they had decided to boycott polls under the present rulers.
He claimed the PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto decided to contest polls when she was assured of making her the Prime Minister for third time. He said some political parties had inked seat adjustment deals in anticipation of forming next government. He said that Shahbaz Sharif should learn a lesson from the fate of deal between the PPP and present rulers.
Robbery at
Mirpurkhas TMA office
Three unidentified armed bandits reportedly barged into the TMA office here and looted Rs0.1million cash in the wee hours of Monday night. According to details, three armed men entered the TMA office and overpowered watchman Shamsher Rajput at gunpoint. The bandits snatched keys of lockers from him and looted Rs01mn cash kept there.
Later, they set ablaze TMA record and a computer before fleeing. Taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastagir Khan Kamali told PPI that they had lodged a case with the Town Police against the unidentified accused.
