THATTA: Youm-E-Ashur was observed with traditional reverence and fervor in Thatta on Sunday.
The main mourning procession was taken out from Imambargah Hussaini, which after passing through its routes, culminated at the main Imambargah of the city.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers were deployed in the town to avoid any untoward incident. On the directives of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Khidmat-e-Khaliq Foundation also set up medical and sabeels camps along the routes of mourning processions to facilitate mourners.
