ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed
Yousuf Raza Gilani, while appreciating the efforts made
by the Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan, hoped that
the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan would redress the grievances
and remove the sense of deprivation amongst the people of
Balochistan.
He expressed these views during a meeting of the Parliamentary
Committee on Balochistan, headed by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani
along with other members of the Committee consisting of
Minister for information, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister
for Petroleum Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Labour and
Manpower Syed Khursheed Shah, Minister for Parliamentry
Affairs, Dr. Zaheerudin Babar Awan and Minster for Water
and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf, at the PM House here on Monday.
The meeting reviewed and deliberated on the final draft
of the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan prepared by the Committee
in consultations with all the stake holders and political
leadership of the country.
The Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan shall be presented in the
joint sitting of the Parliament on November 24, 2009.
The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts made by the Parliamentary
Committee and hoped that the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan
being historical step forward, would go a long way in redressing
the grievances and removing the sense of deprivation amongst
the people of Balochistan and it will strengthen the federation
