SRINAGAR: At least three children were killed
and seven injured when suspected guerrillas
Thursday tossed a grenade at a busy bus depot
here, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir,
the police said. According to the police, militants
threw a grenade at the Batamaloo bus yard in
the heart of the Srinagar city when a huge crowd
of passengers was waiting to board buses to
various towns and villages. Terrorist activities
have picked up in Jammu and Kashmir with at
least 16 people killed and over 40 injured since
Sunday in various incidents.
