HANGU: Taliban are committed with their announcement
to strike government’s installations as
the provincial government has failed to meet
their deadline for its resign from office. Spokesman
of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Maulvi
Omer, said this while talking to a private TV
Channel.
“Neither Taliban have extended the deadline
themselves nor the government has contacted
us for the purpose,” declared Omer. He
said that Taliban’s meetings are underway
at various localities to chalk out further strategy.
He, however, maintained that the decision of
targeting government installments may be withdrawn
if the government decided to hold talks with
Taliban.
Meanwhile, local Ulema, peace Jirga members
and the government officials are set to meet
again on Thursday to discuss peace reinstatement
steps in Hangu.
