PML-N
leadership continues to slam Govt for making unilateral
decisions on important issues
By Muhammad Muniruddin
KARACHI: The top leadership of the PML (N) does
not expect the present coalition led government
to continue much longer especially in the wake
of constant complaints by them about the PPP
not taking them into confidence about important
decisions.
Informed sources of the PML-N said that decisions
can never be taken in isolation and implementation
on them would be very difficult until and unless
the credibility gap is to be abolished and a
consolidated and united government is visible.
When this scribe contacted Mr. Nehal Hashmi
and Siddiqul Farooq who are both senior leaders
of the PML-N on Thursday, they said it is good
that talks between the coalition partners were
held, and that a decision was also taken that
parliament would be taken into confidence but
added that the desired results are difficult
when taken in isolation. They said at present
there is no writ of the government and this
has to be established for achieving the necessary
results.
They claimed that the present coalition government
has lost its credibility and there was no appearance
of a consolidated government. Referring to the
militant groups in the tribal areas who are
prepared to surrender their arms, they said
that on the contrary, the interior ministry
refuses to cooperate with them and rather forces
and arms are used against them. The PML-N leaders
said this was an unwarranted and isolated decision
and is reflective of an unworkable policy of
the PPP government and is not in accordance
with the views of the coalition partners.
