cabinet decides to take action against non-implementation
of OPS

KARACHI Sindh Cabinet, which met at Sindh Secretariat
on Thursday, decided to take strict action against
those officials not implementing government
decision for reverting officials on OPS.
Briefing newsmen after the Cabinet meeting,
Sindh Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Huq said
the government is determined to implement its
decision to do away with the OPS culture in
letter and spirit. In this regard, he pointed
out that Chief Minister sent back a summary
sent from Irrigation department seeking retention
of officials on OPS.
He said the Irrigation Minister has been asked
to bring to the Chief Minister’s notice
that at present only two instead of 12 regular
Chief Engineers were working and senior officers
were suffering as their promotions were not
taking place. He said the Cabinet decided to
take action against those law officers who gave
their consent and defended in the court for
a status quo.
Pir Mazhar said that according to another decision
Sindh Government’s one cessena and two
helicopters will be disposed of as these were
in a very dangerous conditions and lying inoperative.
