By Staff Reporter
KARACHI: A meeting of the Sindh Cabinet was held on Thursday under tight security with a heavy deployment of police around and adjacent to the new Sindh secretariat where the cabinet meeting was held under the chair of Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Thousands of applicants for jobs were seen returning frustrated and among them were many ordinary people who had arrived in Karachi from the interior of Sindh. They were also reports of them cursing the government for not allowing them to submit their job applications.
Many of the people from the interior were also seen carrying box of sweets and cartons of dates as gifts for local area ministers but due to strict anti-people friendly security reasons, the police did not allow these poor people to give gifts to the ministers and legislators. Many complained that they will also ignore their area ministers in the same manner when they come to seek their votes.
