Clash erupts between prisoners & administration of Khairpur Central Jail

KHAIRPUR: A clash erupted between prisoners of Khairpur Central Jail and the administration due to non-acceptance of the demands of the prisoners. The prisoners after breaking locks of their barracks staged a sit-in outside to record their protest against the administration of Central Jail Khairpur.
Later, the administration of the jail held successful talks with prisoners and managed to end their protest. It is worthwhile to mention that prisoners had demanded of the Sindh Government to appoint a judge in the Anti Terrorism Court for trail of their cases.

injured in shootout during fair
Kotdiji Police conducted a raid on a magic show during the fair of Dargah Shahanshah on Thursday, which resulted in a clash between police and the followers of Dargah Shahanshah. However, police and few unidentified exchanged fire, which resulted in severe injuries to two constables namely, Nisar Memon and Zakir Wesar. Later on, the police conducted a raid on a village Kazko and arrested seven men including, Fida Hussain Marri, Gulbahar Marri and others.
Police arrests two robbers
The Khairpur Police has claimed to arrest two criminals including, Maqbool Ahmed Jalbani and Shahzeb Jalbani red-handed on Thursday outside the DCO Khairpur office, when they were looting few men. The police also recovered illegal weapons from the custody of arrested men. No case of the incident was lodged till filing of this news report.
House looted
Six unidentified armed men entered in the house of Ghulam Sarwar Shambani in village Dingri Muhari and after making his family members hostages looted cash, jewelry and other valuables. The armed men after the robbery managed to flee from the scene. A case of the incident was lodged at Thari Mirwah Police Station, while no one was arrested till filling of this news.
Taluka Nazim pays visit of city
The Taluka Nazim, Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto paid a surprise visit of city and enquired about the cleanliness, reviewed ongoing development works and heard the problems of the masses on Thursday.
While talking to newsmen, the Taluka Nazim said that in tenure of previous government the district government carried several development schemes.
Later, Mr. Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto met with a delegation of the traders and assured them to solve their problems.
IBA test passed
candidates get offer orders
The offer orders were given to IBA tests passed candidates by the DCO Khairpur in DCO Secretariat on Thursday. Addressing on the occasion, DCO Khairpur, Muhammad Iqbal Memon said that the orders were given on merit basis to deserving people, whereas remaining IBA test passed candidates will get their offer orders very soon.
