Demo held for not providing compensation to burnt shops in Gharo

GHARO: The activists of business organizations, Shehri Action Committee and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz took out a joint protest rally on Thursday against the government for not providing compensation to the Sakro Golai fire incident affectees.
The protesters marched through different roads and blocked the National, and as a result massive traffic jam was witnessed. Addressing on the occasion, Adil Shah, Gul Hasan, Lal Muhammad Lashari, Ali Hasan and Mushtaq said that goods worth lacs of rupees were reduced to ashes, when a fire engulfed many shops in Sakro Golai three months ago.
They said that the rulers had assured them of providing compensation, but they had backed out of their promises.
The leaders demanded of the rulers to fulfill their promises with immediate effect so that affected shopkeepers can boost their business.—Agency
