BADIN/Phalkara: Badin police claimed to have
busted a gang of notorious dacoits involved
in various cases including murders, dacoities,
kidnapping for ransom and highway robberies
on Thursday.
DPO Badin Fida Hussain Mastoi while addressing
a press conference on Thursday, said that the
police on a tip-off arrested dacoits namely
Akbar Solangi, Akbar Mughal, Khadim Lashari
and Rao Kolhi from Ghulab Leghari Chowk. The
police also recovered some vehicles used in
various criminal activities. He said that the
gang was involved in criminal activities not
only in Badin, but also in Tando Bago, Talhar,
Pingrio, Tando Muhammad Khan, Naukot, Digri,
Tando Jam, Hyderabad, Jhuddo, Matiari and Mirpurkhas
areas.
He said that the bandits had gunned down one
Kamran Wasi, and employee of a pharmaceutical
company. He said that in this case accused Khadim
Lashari was wanted to police.
He felicitated the members of task force headed
by SPO Khalid Rustamani and comprising SHO Ghulab
Leghari, Asghar Nizamani, In-charge Investigation
Matli Muhammad Akram Rajput, ASI Matli Mehboob
Alam and Altaf Rustamani.
DPO assured the officials for the promotions,
besides recommendation to raise the prize of
Rs50,000 announced by Sindh Home Minister Dr
Zulfikar Mirza to Rs0.1 million.
