HYDERABAD: The growers of Hyderabad observed
a token hunger strike against acute irrigation
water shortage in Maso Bhurgri Branch outside
the Hyderabad Press Club on Thursday.
Talking to the media men, the leaders including,
Ali Ahmed Laghari, Moula Bux, Allah Warayo Wato
and others alleged that the Irrigation officials
are providing the irrigation water to some influential
landlords and their agriculture lands have become
barren due to shortage of the irrigation water.
On the occasion, the leaders demanded of the
concerned authorities for the immediate release
of irrigation water.
Meanwhile, the growers of Hala under the leadership
of Khalid Khaskheli, Roshan Ali, Haji Muhammad
Ibrahim, Gul Hassan and others also staged a
protest demonstration against shortage of irrigation
water in Noori Mines Tando Adam Branch.
Addressing on the occasion, the leaders said
that they are facing huge financial losses,
as their agriculture lands have become barren
due to acute irrigation water shortage. On the
occasion, the leaders demanded of the concerned
authorities to take stern notice of the matter,
otherwise they have threatened to gear-up their
protest level.
PPP-MW protests against occupation of their
plots
Pakistan Peoples Party Minority Wing (PPP-MW)
under the leadership of Faqira, Mohan Lal and
others staged a protest demonstration against
occupation of their plots outside the Hyderabad
Press Club on Thursday.
On the occasion, the protestors were carrying
placards and chanted the slogans against occupants
of their plots.
Addressing on the occasion, the leaders alleged
that a local landlord of Hausri has occupied
their plots. They further alleged that Hausri
Police has also refused to lodge a case against
influential landlord. On the occasion, the leaders
demanded of the concerned authorities for provision
of justice.
Justice demanded
A man namely, Dhani Bux Panhwar, resident of
Dadu staged a protest demonstration against
the occupation of his plot outside the Hyderabad
Press Club on Thursday.
Talking to local newsmen, he demanded of the
concerned authorities for the immediate removal
of occupation from his plot.
Meanwhile, a man, namely, Khair Muhammad Chohan,
resident of Kotri staged a protest demonstration
outside for the arrest of killers of his son.
Talking to the media men, he demanded of the
concerned authorities for provision of justice.
PTA protests for
acceptance of their demands
Primary Teachers Association (PTA) chapter Jamshoro
observed a token hunger strike and staged a
protest demonstration for the acceptance of
their demands outside the Hyderabad Press Club
on Thursday.
Talking to the media men, the leaders including,
Abdul Fatah Kakepoto, Bahar Ali Gopang, Illahi
Bux Almani and others demanded of the concerned
authorities to accept their demands immediately,
otherwise, they threatened to enlarge their
protest level.
