protests against alleged harassment of its leaders

KOTRI: A large number of activists of Sindh
United Party (SUP) on Thursday took out a protest
rally and protest demonstrations in different
towns of Jamshoro district against the alleged
harassment of their party leaders and workers
by the police on the alleged behest of present
rulers. Addressing on the occasion, Syed Irfan
Shah, Khalid Hussain, Ramzan Panhwar, Arbab
Dasti and Khalid Narejo alleged that the government
had started revengeful activities against its
political opponent, especially against the SUP
activists and its supporters. In this regard,
their party leaders and the activists have been
allegedly booked in fake cases The protestors
also expressed their concern over the surging
incidents of the street crimes and termed it
a conspiracy to create lawlessness in the district.
They demanded of the government to immediately
halt harassment of the SUP activists, otherwise
they would launch a massive protest movement.
Mobile shop looted in Kotri
Some unidentified thieves took away cell phones
and other valuables from a mobile shop in Kotri.
According to the details, a gang of some unknown
thieves barged in a mobile shop in Qalandarabad
Colony and looted goods worth Rs.50,000 at gunpoint.
Meanwhile, the Kotri police have registered
a case on the complaint of the looted shopkeeper
and started its investigation in this regard.
