Lawyers boycott courts for restoration of judiciary
LAHORE: Lawyers of Lahore boycotted the courts
and marched from “Aiwan-e-Adal”
to Punjab Assembly to press for restoration
of judiciary.
According to details, the rally was headed by
Anwar Kammal the President High Court Bar, Secretary
Rana Asad Ullah Khan, President Lahore Bar Manzoor
Khawar, Secretary Latif Sara, President PML
(N) Lahore MNA Mian Marghub Ahmed, Provincial
General Secretary and Provincial Minister Excise
and Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja Urehman, Iqbal
Jaffery of Jamat-e-Islami, Head of JUP (Naffad-e-Shariyat)
Engineer Saleem Ullah Khan, Hameed Udeen Mashriqi
the head of Khaksar Tehrik, Justice (R) Nasirah
Javed Iqbal, Bashir Sial of PTI and Mohammed
Khan of Pakhtoon Khawah Mili Party.
The participants chanted slogans and staged
a sit in. The speakers said that lawyers have
announced a deadline of 14th August and if the
deposed judges would not be restored till that
then a civil disobedience movement would be
started.
They said in such a case the movement would
continue till the reinstatement of the deposed
