KHAIRPUR: At least five people died and 10 others sustained
injuries in a road accident here on Tuesday. According to
the reports, a Sukkur-Moro bound passenger van bearing number-R
2601 collided with a trawler at Therhi Bypass in the jurisdiction
of Babarloi Police Station and as a result, five passengers
identified as Rab Dino Channa s/o Muhammad Ashraf, Raja
Abid Hussain s/o Ghulam Sarwar, Maharuddin s/o Koro, Ghulam
Sarwar and another unidentified died on the spot, while10
others including Syed Nadir Shah, Muhammad Urs, Muhammad
Amir, Ashiq Jamiro, Habib Solangi, Syed Haider Shah, Masroor,
Ghulam Sarwar Khoso and others sustained injuries. The injured
were shifted to the Civil Hospital Khairpur. The bodies
of the deceased were handed over to their heirs after conducting
an autopsy from the Civil Hospital Khairpur. The police
arrested trawler driver and impounded the trawler.
Youth crushed to death
A speeding trawler crushed to death a student of class five
identified as Lutuf s/o Rabnawaz Jatoi, resident of village
Jam Jatoi at Larkana-Khairpur Link Road on Tuesday. Tando
Masti police reached the spot and managed to arrest the
driver of the trawler and impounded his vehicle. The body
of the deceased was handed over to his heirs after conducting
an autopsy from the Civil Hospital Khairpur.
Detainee recovered
On the orders of District and Sessions Judge, Third Civil
Judge and Judicial Magistrate, Azizullah Khoso along with
other staff conducted a raid at the police post of Babarloi
Police Station and recovered a detainee namely Bahar s/o
Mir Muhammad Gadihi.
The raid commissioner ordered registration of a case against
Incharge of the police post, ASI, Syed Parvez Ali Shah and
ordered him to appear before the court along with official
record. It is worthwhile to mention that a man namely Wajid
Ali s/o Gul Bahar Gadihi, resident of village Ghanwar Mashori
had filed a petition in the court against illegal detention
of Bahar.
Two sustain burn injuries
Two persons including Asghar Sohu and Ghulam Muhammad Sohu
sustained burn injuries as fire caught a tractor trolley
due to sparking of wires in the jurisdiction of PS-Kotdiji
on Tuesday. The injured persons were shifted to the Civil
Hospital Khairpur.
81st birthday of
Pir Sain Pagara celebrated
The 81st birthday of the spiritual head of the Hur Jamaat,
Pir Sahab Pagara was celebrated by taluka nazim Khairpur,
Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto at Dilshad Manzil Khairpur on Tuesday,
which was attended by a large number of PML-F leaders and
devotees of Pir Sahab Pagara. Addressing on the occasion,
the PML-F leaders including district president Sharfuddin
Rajpar, Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto, Professor Abdullah Phulpoto,
Professor Dr Imdad Sehto, Insaf Makrani, Farah Naz Chandio
and others said that the people of Sindh are facing different
crises and they have been compelled to sell their children
due to financial crisis. They said that now the people of
Sindh are looking towards the PML-F because it is the only
party, which can resolve the problems of the masses. On
the occasion, they cut a birthday cake of Pir Sahab Pagara
and offered prayers for the long life and good health of
Pir Sahab Pagar.
