Police
crackdown on opposition parties, several activists
arrested
MULTAN: Multan police have launched a crackdown
to arrest the activists of opposition parties
and to foil their attempt to go to Islamabad.
Police conducted raids at the residences of
office bearers of PPP and PML-N and arrested
a number of activists on Tuesday morning so
that they could not leave for Islamabad to join
a protest rally to express solidarity with Chief
Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry.
