person carried out Charsadda suicide attack

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior, Aftab
Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that according to
latest investigations a single person carried
out Charsada suicide attack in which 28 people
were killed while 52 others were injured.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday before his
departure to Mansehra, the Interior Minister
said “As per latest investigations, only
one person carried out the Charsada suicide
attack”.
He said that the attacker was aged between 16
to 17 years adding that further investigations
were going on to find further developments in
this regard.
About another unidentified dead body that was
recovered from the place of the suicide attack,
Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said the other dead
body has been identified from DNA test and NADRA
report as he was a local person who had come
to attend the rally and was not associate of
the attacker.
Regarding his scheduled public meetings, the
Interior Minister said that the public meetings
will not be postponed and that would be held
as per schedules adding such attacks could not
push him back from his determination.
To a question Aftab Sherpao rejected prior information
regarding the suicide attack in Charsada that
carried out on April 28 leaving 28 people dead
and wounding 52 others.—Agencies
