Rally
held to mark International Labour Day

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam
Rahim has asked the opposition to ‘mend
it behavior’ and remain within the ‘limits’
otherwise action would be taken against them.
“PML-Q can also hold rallies on the eve
of hearing of the reference in Supreme Judicial
Council, but, we don’t want to ‘intimidate’
the court and clash between masses,” he
commented while addressing a joint rally of
PML-Q’s Youth and Labour wings organised
here from Regal Chowk to Karachi Press Club
to express solidarity with labourers on the
occasion of International Labour Day on Tuesday.
Arbab said that all four ‘A’; Allah,
Awam, Army and America were with the present
government. “Today’s rally proved
that the masses are with Pervez Musharraf”,
he said and added the PML-Q Sindh would show
its strength on May 5, 2007 in Nowkot.
“The government does not believe on violence,
however, if opposition will crosses the limits
then action will be taken,” he warned.
He accused the opposition of intimidating the
court and interfering it matters. “Opposition
is trying to make the masses fool under the
cover of current judicial crisis, he added.
He underlined the need of accountability of
all institutions including judiciary.
“We honor SC and SC did not mean a single
judge and all the judges are honorable and respectable,”
he said and accused the opposition of mud slinging
on honorable judges of the court.
Criticizing the two former premiers, he said
that in past Benazir had termed courts as ‘kangaroo
courts’ while during Nawaz Sharif tenure
Supreme Court had been attacked. they were talking
independence of judiciary by sitting abroad,
he commented.
