Mini stadium in Gharo soon: Qamar Mansoor

GHARO: Sindh Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Qamar Mansoor has announced to devlop Gharo Sports Ground as a ‘mini stadium’. Speaking to newsmen after a match between Super Shaheed and Gulistan Cricket Team at Gharo while returning from Thatta on Tuesday, he also announced to construct a mud embankment around the ground and developing pitch.
He said mini stadium would be constructed on Gharo Sports Ground, which presently was in shambles.
He announce to give Rs.10,000 to winning team Super Shaheen Cricket Team Gharo and Rs.5,000 to runner-up besides Rs.10,000 for organizing committee.
Bandits loot bus near Gharo
Four armed bandits, disguised as commuters, manhandled looted a bus and beat up it conductor on resistance. As per details, four armed culprits boarded a Karachi-bound bus near Gharo. They deprived commuters of Rs.17000 cash, mobile phones and wristwatches. They beat up conductor on resistance and later fled. The passengers registered the report at Gharo Police Station. It may be noted that law and order situation in Thatta district is in shambles and night travel has become very dangerous.
Rally on Labour Day
A rally was taken out in Thatta on International Labour Day by Peoples Labour Bureau here on Tuesday. The rally started from Bukuk Hotel, which was led by People Party Thatta District President Arbab Wazir Ahmed Memon and Labour Bureau president Anwer Jokhio. The rally while passing through National Highway assembled at Press Club Thatta. The labourers were carrying flags and placards during the rally and chanting slogans against anti-labour policies.
Addressing on occasion Mr. Arbab and Anwer Jokhio said present regime had no program for welfare of labour on his agenda.
Government claims to provide facilities to workers while under privatization policy they have been made unemployed, they added. The speakers demanded to frame special programs for labours and their families while reforms should be brought after ending privatization policy.
