5 Pakistan Post officials terminated

ISLAMABAD: Government on Tuesday terminated five officials of Pakistan Post on charges of alleged corruption, intolerance and wrong-doings while on the other hand disciplinary action has been taken against twenty-eight others following show cause notices.
According to details, during the last two years, numerous complaints were being gathered against 34 Pakistan post officials on account of corruption, intolerance and wrong-doings and methodical investigations were held and issued formal notices.
Disciplinary action has been completed against 28, out of which five have been terminated. It includes Senior Post Master Lahore Ali Ahmed, Senior Post Master Charsadda Gull Muhammad, Assistant Director Nazir Ahmed Chugtai, Senior Post Master Attock Abdur Rehman and Former DSPS Kohat Arshad Habib.
In this regard, notices have been issued and Inquiry Committee will proceed further on investigations against the said officials. Disciplinary action has been taken against DSPS Division Lahore Nadeem Makhdoom Mehar, Grade 17 Officer Rizwan Javed Hashmi, Controller IMO Karachi Javed Ahmed Thanovi, Assistant Post Master General Multan Muzaz Rehman, Assistant Post Master General Operations Hyderabad Qurban Ali while warning given to Senior Post Master Karachi Ghulam Mustafa, Senior Post Master Chakwal Rafiq Khan, Senior Post Master Charsadda M Azam, Assistant Director Karachi TNR Office Roshan Ali Chando, Senior Post Master Bagh GPO Anayat Allah, Assistant Director PLI Bashir Ahmed, Assistant Director Postal Life Insurance Ghulam Abbas Tahir, Assistant Director Postal Life Insurance Karachi Sohail Khan, Senior Post Master Multan GPO Mohab Ali Khan, Assistant Manager GPO Multan Jamil Hussain, Senior Post Master Bhakar GPO Khalid Latif Javed, Senior Post Master Chakwal GPO M Rafiq Khan, APMG Admin Shahid Iqbal, DSPS Peshawer Muzaffar Shah, DSPS Rawalakot Fazal Karim Mughal, DSPS Gujranwala Zamim Asif, APMG Operations Sukkur Postal Regional Jalaluddin Haqanni.—Agencies
